#113: Claudia Makes Up Her Mind

#113: Claudia Makes Up Her Mind

It’s Color War Week at SMS and, as Queen of the Seventh Grade, Claudia decides to take on a leadership role (mostly because she’s understandably grossed out that the seventh-grade color is orange). She drags her boyfriend Mark into it, too. She’s amped up until she gets a note to go see the guidance counselor. Last time that happened, she got sent back to seventh grade. This time, though, the guidance counselor suggests that Claudia is ready to go back to eighth grade (what is up with SMS?!) and says it’s Claud’s choice to make.

On the one hand, Claudia would be back in eighth grade with her BSC friends and the other kids her age. On the other hand, she’d be leaving behind her new friends and her boyfriend, as well as her Queen title. What’s a bad-spelling queen bee bitch to do?

First of all, she should totally dump Mark because he’s a doof. And eventually Claud realizes he’s a doof and she does dump him. It doesn’t hurt that she figures out that “one of [her] best friends” Josh like likes her and is kind to her and thoughtful and funny and basically worships the ground that she walks on. So two days after she dumps Mark, Claudia is practically making out with Josh behind the bleachers. (And I say, GET IT, GIRL!) Despite the orange seventh grade team winning the Color War, Claudia also decides (after much overthinking and some advice from her friends) to return to eighth grade. She’s the most fashionable queen to ever abdicate her throne!
