Before Pacey and Joey on "Dawson's Creek", there was Pacey and Andie. Spunky Andie was Pacey's first real love, and they went through a lot of ups and downs together. One of the ups was their first kiss in episode 206, "The Dance".
After Andie spots Pacey canoodling with fantasy girl Kristy Livingstone, she flees the dance. Pacey later finds her down by the riverfront, where they hash things out, engage in some very Pacey/Andie banter, and then start to slow dance. Eventually Pacey says, "kiss me?" to which Andie replies, "Thought you'd never ask."
This swoon-worthy moment happened in downtown Wilmington, NC (like many of the show's other moments) at Riverfront Park, which is right along the river across from the Alton Brown Federal Building (at 2 Princess Street).

You can see that they decorated the area with romantic twinkling lights to set the mood for Pacey and Andie:
Regardless of being a filming location, this area is beautiful and near all of the downtown shops and restaurants, so it's a lovely place to spend an afternoon!
