I was in Santa Monica one day, heading to the Third Street Promenade, when I noticed a little recording studio tucked away on 4th street across from my parking garage. It seemed familiar, and it took a minute before it registered: 4th Street Recording is where my favorite musician, Andrew McMahon, recorded a few of my favorite albums, Something Corporate's North and Jack's Mannequin's Everything in Transit and The Glass Passenger.
4th Street Recording is no stranger to great music -- according to the studio's website, artists like The Beach Boys, Fiona Apple, George Clinton, and No Doubt have also recorded there. It's a cute little studio (the website offers a tour) and I couldn't resist taking a photo with it.
If it's good enough for Andrew McMahon, it's good enough for me!
