Event: "Veronica Mars" Reunion at PaleyFest

Event: "Veronica Mars" Reunion at PaleyFest

WHERE Dolby Theatre at the Hollywood & Highland Center in Hollywood, CA
WHEN March 13, 2014

I've been bringing you a series of "Veronica Mars" filming locations this week because I'm a huge fan of the show and a backer of the film on Kickstarter, AND I was lucky enough to attend the "Veronica Mars" reunion at PaleyFest tonight in Hollywood!

The moderator, Alan Sepinwall, introduced "Veronica Mars" creator Rob Thomas, who informed us we'd be watching a behind-the-scenes documentary of the making of the movie. It was really cute and honestly heartwarming and you could tell from watching it how much the actors and Rob care about the project and how hard they worked on it and how much fun they had. It was awesome to be able to watch it with other superfans. Ryan Hansen and Chris Lowell are especially funny in it.

When the cast came out, they were all adorable and funny and everything you'd want them to be. In attendance were Rob Thomas, Kristen Bell, Jason Dohring, Enrico Colantoni, Ryan Hansen, Chris Lowell, Francis Capra, Percy Daggs III, and Tina Majorino. They talked about the Kickstarter campaign, the show, the film, and their relationships with each other. You could tell they have a genuine affection for one another and that a special camaraderie exists among them and their fearless leader Rob. One of the funniest moments was when Percy said that he would've fought back had he been left out of the movie: "I had the NAACP on speed dial!" Later Ryan told him how awesome that line was.

The cast was very sweet about signing autographs and taking photos with fans afterward. Ryan Hansen is possibly my favorite person of all time and he was so genuinely friendly and enthusiastic and accommodating and sweet that it makes you want to die from cuteness. I asked him if I could possibly get a photo with him and he winked and said, "You possibly can!" and then posed with me. He is the absolute best -- he was also super sweet the last time I met him. (Pardon my crazy eyes in the photo below.)

They literally had to drag him and Jason Dohring off stage. Chris Lowell is also handsome as hell and super nice. Percy was lying on the floor to take photos and sign autographs, Francis was so excited to be there it was adorable, and Tina was sweet and rocking the hell out of her haircut. Jason and Enrico got caught up at one side of the stage, but Jason was trying so hard to sign for everyone, it was so nice. He was really reluctant to leave the stage when they dragged him away.

On my way out of the theater I noticed that Duane Daniels, who plays Neptune High Vice Principal Van Clemmons, was chatting with people and taking photos. I snagged a photo with him as well and he couldn't have been nicer.

It was such a good night and a perfect way to kick off PaleyFest this year. Tomorrow I get to go see the "Veronica Mars" movie in the theater -- I cannot wait to see it all play out on the big screen.
