I love "Community", and the fact that it's always on the cusp of cancellation breaks my heart. Why can't everyone appreciate its humor and sincerity? Anyway, one gift I get is that "Community" is honored every year at PaleyFest and I get to go bask for a few hours in the glow of the amazing and hilarious cast. This year's panel was especially amazing because, instead of screening an episode, the cast decided to do a live table-read of episode 401, "History 101".
Not only did the cast do a great job performing a traditional table read, they also got creative when it came to acting out some of the episode's more physically theatrical scenes:
It was a huge treat to be able to be present for this, and it was followed by an equally hilarious moderated panel with the cast.
This night had a few surprises, too: we got to meet the casts' puppet counterparts AND they performed Britta's "Me So Hungee" dance.
Every time I've met members of the "Community" cast, they've been kind, friendly, and accommodating to fans.
Yvette Nicole Brown, especially, is always suuuuper sweet to fans. She stayed on stage long after everyone else, making sure every person waiting got an autograph and a hello. Love her!
She also regularly replies to fans on Twitter... send her some love!
And my cousin and I were super excited to snap a photo with uber-cutie Danny Pudi:
He's a dreamboat for sure!
