Amy Heckerling's "Clueless" is a total classic. It inspired fashion crazes, new slang ("whatever!" "as if"), and other zany trends (how many feathered pens did I own in 1995?). Since the high schoolers in the film were quintessential Beverly Hills teens, many of the fim's locations are easily accessible in and around Beverly Hills.
One location that's definitely outside of Beverly Hills is Circus Liquor, the liquor store where Cher jumped out of Elton's car and then got mugged. It's one of my favorite scenes because Cher argues with the mugger, not wanting to dirty her designer dress.
Friggin' perfect. You can find Circus Liquor in North Hollywood. (A year or two ago I was staying at a hotel a few miles away and I drove by Circus Liquor every night on the way back to the hotel. It made me laugh every time I saw it.) If you do go, maybe go during the daytime... considering what happened to Cher! My pal Alex and I are both huge fans of the film, so we stopped by recently:
