It’s also where Jack’s mom Stevie (Gail O’Grady) stays while she’s in the Hamptons during the third season.

    Swingers Diner from “Knocked Up”

    LOCATION Swingers Diner, the location of the awkward morning-after breakfast in “Knocked Up”. ADDRESS Swingers Diner 802 Broadway Santa Monica, CA swingersdiner.com STORY & PHOTOS Back when “Knocked Up” came out, the tagline was: “what if this guy got you pregnant?” Seth Rogen was seen as a schlubby stoner with a goofy laugh. He still has a goofy laugh, but these days he’s doing cool things like getting married and guest-starring on “Arrested Development” and “The Mindy Project” and speaking at congressional hearings. That being said, back when Seth’s character in “Knocked Up” got Katherine Heigl’s character pregnant, she was understandably freaked out.

    LOCATION The home where William (Michael Angarano/Patrick Fugit) lived with his mother (Frances McDormand) and his sister (Zooey Deschanel) in Cameron Crowe’s film “Almost Famous”. Coming-of-age rock’n’roll story “Almost Famous” stars a slew of famous faces, including Kate Hudson, Jimmy Fallon, Zooey Deschanel, Frances McDormand, and the late Philip Seymour Hoffman, and has a killer soundtrack. It’s Cameron Crowe’s love letter to the soundtrack of his life.

ADDRESS 4th Street Recording 1211 4th Street Santa Monica, CA 4thstreetrecording.com STORY & PHOTOS I was in Santa Monica one day, heading to the Third Street Promenade, when I noticed a little recording studio tucked away on 4th street across from my parking garage. It seemed familiar, and it took a minute before it registered: 4th Street Recording is where my favorite musician, Andrew McMahon, recorded a few of my favorite albums, Something Corporate’s North and Jack’s Mannequin’s Everything in Transit and The Glass Passenger.
