For iconic high school movies, and in coming-of-age TV shows, the high school becomes almost a character. In that sense, John Marshall High School is a big star. It's been featured in a ton of films and television shows, from "Pretty in Pink" and "Can't Hardly Wait" to "Boy Meets World" and "Growing Pains".
In "Pretty in Pink", JMHS stands in for Meadowbrook High School, where Andie (Molly Ringwald), Duckie (Jon Cryer), and Blane (Andrew McCarthy) go to classes and get angsty.
The school is very recognizable to this day and, being a fan of a lot of these movies and shows, I had to pose with it:
