    The Empire State Building from “Sleepless in Seattle” and “Elf”

    LOCATION The iconic Empire State Building in New York City has appeared in many films, perhaps most pivotally in the romantic finale of “Sleepless in Seattle.” ADDRESS Empire State Building 350 5th Avenue New York, NY http://www.esbnyc.com/ STORY & PHOTOS Tempting as it may be to play it cool and try to skip some of the more obvious touristy spots on a visit to New York City, I can’t recommend skipping the Empire State Building. It’s an iconic landmark of the city and has a great aerial view of surrounding Manhattan. Everybody’s gotta do it at least once!

    Paramount VIP Studio Tour

    Film and television buffs will not want to miss a tour of storied Paramount Pictures in Hollywood. Once home to Alfred Hitchcock, Lucille Ball, and costume designer extraordinaire Edith Head, there’s a ton of history on the lot, as well as plenty of sights from more recent productions, like “Glee”, “Rizzoli and Isles”, and “Community”.     Universal Studios VIP Experience

    Despite being in the L.A.-area for a couple of weeks each year, I’d managed to never take the Universal Studios studio tour. I think it’s because I knew that at some point in the tour JAWS would happen, and I am terrified of sharks so it kept me away. But this year I got brave and embarked on the VIP tour with my cousin Alana.
