    Soboroff Typewriter Collection at the Paley Center

    WHAT Soboroff Typewriter Collection; typewriters belonging from celebrities and writers from Hemingway to Capote WHERE The Paley Center, 465 N Beverly Drive, Beverly Hills, CA WHEN March 9, 2015 STORY & PHOTOS While I was at the Paley Center recently, checking out the “Survivor” exhibit (read about that here), the staff let me know that there was also a cool typewriter exhibit upstairs. The Soboroff Typewriter Collection, a twenty-eight typewriter collection, includes models used by authors, celebrities, and public figures. Among the typewriters featured were those belonging to Ernest Hemingway, John Lennon, and Truman Capote.

    The Grammy Museum at L.A. Live

    WHAT The Grammy Museum at L.A. Live WHERE 800 W Olympic Blvd, Los Angeles, CA WHEN March 9, 2015 STORY & PHOTOS My pal Alex and I were in Los Angeles recently and obviously had to make it to the Taylor Swift Experience, an exhibit of all things T. Swift. The exhibit, which runs through May 10, is part of the Grammy Museum at L.A. Live, and the $12.95 admission covered the Taylor Swift Experience as well as the rest of the Grammy Museum and its exhibits. (Read my post about the Taylor Swift Experience here.)

    WHAT The Taylor Swift Experience WHERE The Grammy Museum at L.A. Live, 800 W Olympic Blvd, Los Angeles, CA WHEN March 9, 2015 STORY & PHOTOS Recently my friend Alex and I were in Los Angeles for only a few days, but we made sure to make time to swing by the Grammy Museum in downtown L.A. and check out the Taylor Swift Experience.     Update: This exhibit will close on August 3, 2014.   WHAT Props and costumes from major Warner Brothers Studio productions WHERE The Paley Center, 465 N Beverly Drive in Beverly Hills, CA   The Paley Center in Beverly Hills is one of my favorite places to go when I’m in Southern California. It not only archives hundreds of thousands of television programs, but it often has fun exhibits and screenings to attend, and even nighttime events with the casts and creative teams of popular TV shows.
