    My Lambeau Field engagement

Last Christmas my boyfriend Aaron surprised me and my family with tickets and sideline passes to the Green Bay Packers game of our choice for the 2018 season. My dad grew up watching the Packers with his dad, and I grew up watching the Packers with my dad. We’re big fans and visiting Lambeau Field in Green Bay has been on my dad’s bucket list for a while. It was an awesome surprise and something we could look forward to for almost a whole year. Fast forward to this September, and the plans were made. My parents, Aaron, and I would be attending the September 30th game against the Buffalo…

A “Mighty Ducks” Meet and Greet

WHAT Autograph signing and VIP interview panel WHERE Holiday Inn, Mansfield, MA WHEN April 15, 2018 Anyone who knows me even moderately well knows that I’m obsessed with the “Mighty Ducks” movies. (It’s even in my Twitter bio, y’all.) So it’s safe to say that this year’s birthday gift from my boyfriend Aaron was pretty perfect – a VIP pass to an autograph signing and meet-and-greet with some of the cast from the franchise! Scheduled to appear were Matt Doherty (Averman – my favorite!), Vincent LaRusso (Adam Banks), Garette Ratliff Henson (Guy Germaine), Brandon Adams (Jesse Hall), Aaron Schwartz (Karp), and Scott Whyte (Gunnar Stahl / Scooter). It was held in Mansfield,…

ORIGINAL CHICAGO ADDRESS 1941 W North Ave Chicago, IL 60622 CURRENT LOS ANGELES ADDRESS 7100 Santa Monica Boulevard West Hollywood, CA savedbythemax.com STORY & PHOTOS I visited Saved by the Max on a September 2016 visit to Chicago, but I didn’t realize until the creators were about to open their new Los Angeles location that I never wrote about the original! So here it is, my experience at a supremely “Saved by the Bell”-themed restaurant. (And, yes, I was a total dork and wore a “Saved by…

“Reality Stars Give Back” Toys for Tots Fundraiser

WHERE VFW Hall, Portsmouth, NH WHEN December 4, 2015 Last Friday my friend Alex and I, who have both loved summertime guilty pleasure “Big Brother” for a long time, went to the 8th annual Reality Stars Give Back fundraiser for Toys for Tots in Portsmouth, NH. Despite the fact that this has been going on for eight years, this was the first year I’d ever gone. I think the appearances of our BB17 favorites Johnny Mac and Jason are what caught my eye. Anyway, we decided to go and I’m really glad we did!

    Event: “Scandal” PaleyFest Panel

WHERE Dolby Theatre, Hollywood & Highland WHEN March 8, 2015 STORY & PHOTOS Our third and final PaleyFest adventure this year was the panel for “Scandal”! The theater was electric; all the Gladiators in the room were practically foaming at the mouth. The “Lawn Chair” episode was screened (um, emotional much?) and then moderator Jimmy Kimmel introduced the cast. It was the biggest panel we saw, and all of the principal cast members were there, which was awesome.

    Event: “Girls” PaleyFest Panel

WHERE Dolby Theatre, Hollywood & Highland WHEN March 8, 2015 STORY & PHOTOS “GIRLS”. You love it or you hate it, and I love it. (Though not as much as my pal Alex, who loves “Girls” more than anyone.) He and I were both really excited for the “Girls” PaleyFest panel. We tandem-read (and loved) Lena Dunham’s book Not That Kind of Girl while poolside in Miami last year, and Lena is one of Alex’s heroes. It was a big deal to be there.

Event: “The Good Wife” PaleyFest Panel

WHERE Dolby Theatre, Hollywood & Highland WHEN March 7, 2015 STORY & PHOTOS “The Good Wife” is hands-down one of the best shows on TV today. It has the wit, intelligence, acting and writing quality of a primo cable drama, but it airs 20-24 episodes a year on CBS. Crazy! The creative team and the cast are incredibly talented, and I was thrilled to get to attend their PaleyFest panel tonight!

Event: “American Horror Story: Coven” PaleyFest Panel

WHERE Dolby Theatre, Hollywood & Highland WHEN March 28, 2014 STORY & PHOTOS Tonight was the PaleyFest panel for “American Horror Story: Coven” and hot damn, was the crowd excited! People literally cheered for everything but it was really fun. There was a good energy in the air. They screened the episode “Burn, Witch, Burn”, and then brought out the cast.

    Event: “Veep” PaleyFest Panel

WHERE Dolby Theatre, Hollywood & Highland WHEN March 27, 2014 STORY & PHOTOS If you haven’t yet watched HBO’s “Veep”, you’re really missing out. Julia Louis-Dreyfus stars as Selina Meyer, the Vice President of the United States, and is surrounded by an outstanding supporting cast. “Veep” takes a hilarious look at Washington and the White House with a warts-and-all approach. It’s like “Arrested Development” meets “The West Wing”.

    Event: “Community” PaleyFest Panel

WHERE Dolby Theatre, Hollywood & Highland WHEN March 26, 2014 STORY & PHOTOS “Community” is a perennial favorite of the Paley Center, having been honored at PaleyFest for an unprecedented five years in a row! (For those keeping track, that’s every year they’ve been on the air.) I don’t think any other show carries that distinction. Go Human Beings!
